The Department has funds to help graduate students offset the cost of travel to national or international meetings at which they are presenting their work as either a platform talk or a poster.

  • Awards of up to $300 are available
  • Students must be presenting work at the meeting to qualify for a travel award
  • Students are eligible to receive a Departmental travel award once per academic year

Students should submit a request to the Graduate Program Director at least six weeks prior to the meeting (Travel Award Form). The request form should be completed in its entirety and signed by both the student and the Graduate Program Director.  The request must be accompanied by the conference abstract and letter of acceptance from the conference.
