βBio Research Day is an annual event hosted by the Department of Biological Sciences to showcase our student and faculty research. The event is a celebration of the outstanding work conducted within the department across laboratories at the Newark campus, Nemours Children's Hospital and Christiana Hospital. Students have the opportunity to network and present their scientific research through flash talks and poster sessions. Awards are presented to top student researchers from the department's interdisciplinary graduate program, as well as undergraduate students pursuing research opportunities. β

The 2024 Bio Research Day brought together faculty and students within the department to present research in topics spanning from tuberculosis and musculoskeletal diseases to the effects of stress on the heart in mice.
